Debbie Douglas is a seasoned HR professional with a profound passion for media and entertainment, boasting an extensive career across renowned companies. Armed with a master’s in HR Management from The New School and a bachelor’s in Social Work from SUNY-Stony Brook, she has experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and training/facilitation. Debbie has excelled in full-cycle recruitment, playing pivotal roles at Paramount, where she supported prominent brands such as MTV, VH1, CBS, and Nickelodeon. Her diverse experience includes a tenure at Alloy Media + Marketing and a brief stint with a Global PR/Communications firm.

In her current role as the Director of Talent Acquisition at Paramount, Debbie spearheads recruitment for the BET Media Group, including BET+, BET Studios, and VH1. Leveraging her strong sourcing skills as the “The Talent Whisperer”, networking, and hiring high-caliber talent, she is dedicated to helping individuals discover their passion and purpose. Beyond her corporate role, Debbie extends her impact through her consulting company, 3DHR Consulting, LLC, providing career advocacy and coaching.

Debbie recently added author to her title when she published her first E-book in April, 2023, and then shortly after launched a paperback version of, “Now What? 12 Strategies To Landing The Career You’ll Love, Not Tolerate”.

Committed to volunteerism, Debbie has and continues to support non-profits such as Candice’s Sickle Cell Fund (CSCF), YMF, Inc., a breast cancer awareness foundation. Debbie is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, a global service oriented organization. Debbie’s public speaking experience extends across diverse platforms for panels, workshops, conferences, podcasts and even publications. Debbie has lent her voice and knowledge to organizations such as: NAMIC, NY Urban League, Paramount, ColorComm, Complex, Essence.com’s E-suite virtual series, and PayScale.com, to name a few. A passionate mentor, she has contributed to organizations like Working for Women and Save a Girl, Save a World. Debbie actively facilitates workshops and supports platforms like Gyrl Wonder, sharing her expertise with individuals at various career stages, from college students to seasoned professionals.
